International Women's Day and Empower Her Initiative

Join us as we celebrate International Women’s Day 2024 together with The American Chamber of Commerce in Sweden. This will be a lunch program with the following speakers and more!

On International Women’s Day, AmCham Sweden will bring together influential actors from politics and business to share their professional perspectives on female empowerment in a panel discussion. By hosting this program we intend to spread ideas and best practices. The Empower Her initiative was launched by the U.S. Commercial Service in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU (AmCham EU Empower Her page) and AmChams in Europe to promote and empower women’s advancement in international trade. The initiative seeks to bolster direct engagement by businesses to take action to advance women’s economic empowerment in the workplace and women-led entrepreneurship across the Atlantic.

Topics will include enhancing women’s economic participation in international trade, fostering workplace diversity, promoting existing initiatives, and identifying obstacles to empowerment. Through this event, AmCham and IWIB aims to inspire collaborative solutions and foster a collective commitment to gender parity and women’s empowerment.
