About the event

Join us for a roundtable with The Euro-Gulf Information Center (EGIC)

From personal banking to dating, communications to education, the long arm of high-tech has gripped communities the world over. But what security issues are arising from machine learning, AI and the Internet of Things (IoT)? How can a balance be struck between innovation and social protection? What is the relationship between speed-of-light communications and the radicalisation-crime nexus?

This engaged roundtable seeks to flesh-out some answers—and likely pose several others. By bringing together a small group of experts and analysts — from across the spectrum — this session will take a first step in understanding some of the security dynamics involved in the warp-speed drive to smart cities and the technological society.
