About the event

CSRD – EU’s New Game Plan for Sustainability

Join us for a Power Coffee on one of the most hot topics for business leaders: The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

Europe is on a mission to become the first climate-neutral continent, emphasizing the urgency of sustainability efforts. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is a key part of that mission, with the aim to achieve the targets established by the Paris Agreement and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The CSRD will be incorporated into Swedish law on July 1, 2024, and requires all large companies and all listed companies (except listed micro-enterprises) to disclose information on the risks and opportunities arising from social and environmental issues, and on the impact of their activities on people and the environment. Companies subject to the CSRD will have to report according to European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). These new standards impose comprehensive requirements on sustainability reporting but primarily serve as a powerful regulatory tool to ensure transparent and credible sustainability practices.

In this lecture, Sustainability leader & ESG legal expert Scarlett Roa will guide us through the new directive and its standards, providing both a theoretical understanding of the new regulation and practical knowledge on its implementation.
