A year ago Oonagh was made redundat from her job in banking. A year later, she feels thankful that she was forced to rip off that band-aid and do what she loves. Oonagh will talk about how she reinvented herself and share her insights behind the LinkedIn post that went viral.

"A year ago this month I got made #redundant from my job in banking.  I just want to say - #THANKYOU 🥳🙏🏻🤩  I honestly was never cut out for the in-house corporateworld - I'm not political and I use my voice - I'm that one that will speak up when something is wrong, inefficient, ineffective and unsustainable.  But the honest truth is many organisations don't want that.  I'm one of these people that says what I see - keeps it real - and moves on.  I work hard to get the work done and deliver... but I also ask questions.  I ask the "why are we doing this?"  I ask the "why are doing it this way?"  I also will not hesitate to call out when something is #wrong, and where I see #inequalities or #unfairtreatment.  Many people know problems exist but they are either: 1. #exhausted from trying to change it, and have accepted the #statusquo or voted with their feet and left; or 2. know things need to change but are not personally #incentivised to do so - it's not in my KPIs.  I'm incredibly grateful for all the things I learnt - also for all the people that I met.  I was able to bring that wealth of #knowledge and use it to #makeadifference."
