About the event

Gina Pari is the Client Director at Safello, a Swedish company that offers instant buying and selling and integrates several advanced features to make cryptocurrency easily and securely accessible for everyone. Safello is a public company and listed on Nasdaq First North.

In this session Gina will answer these questions:

- Why are so many banks developing financial instruments based on cryptocurrencies?

- Is Bitcoin rather be seen as an inflationary hedge or a means of payment?

- How can cryptocurrencies support those who need it the most; e.g. the unbanked who currently pay exorbitant fees to remittance providers?

Gina is an advocate for women´s financial freedom. She is also the founder of  SweBlocks and aspires to change the status quo with a completely new methodology; by lowering the technical threshold through a focus on use-cases rather than the underlying technology. In addition, we're the first European initiative to create an educational platform for women, by women. Blockchain and cryptocurrency space is vastly dominated by men, barely 15% (https://coin.dance/stats/gender) of bitcoin engagement can be attributed to women and she wants to change that.

Also, as a native Bolivian Gina founded The Blockchain Association in Bolivia where Cryptocurrencies are illegal and has even led to incarcerations. Gina´s goal is to amass support strong enough to engage with government officials as means to have a dialogue around our current legislation. The association also seeks to improve the general understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, striving towards the inclusion of inhabitants in less developed economies.
