About the event

The goal with the IWIB series on International Standards is to understand how working with standards, your business' development and production costs can be reduced. Business could get a seal certification of quality for their products and services.  According to the Swedish Institute For Standards (SIS), there are approximately 70,000 standards. Learn which could be relevant to your particular business.

Our guest speaker for this session, Hilda Sandberg, is the National Relations & Policy Officer from The Swedish Instiute for Standards, SIS*. Hilda will speak on how the international standardization system works to facilitate global business and trade, and how you can get involved. She will also touch upon how ISO works to better integrate gender in its standardization work, and the ongoing work on a definition on women owned enterprises.

*SIS is ISO in Sweden, and works to promote the use of standards in all areas of Swedish society where standards brings benefits, and to optimize the Swedish involvement in international standardization. SIS is a non-profit,  that is recognized by the Swedish government as the official Swedish standardization organization within ISO and CEN.
